Ah.. Beautiful Hawaii.. . You’re really not making any mistakes traveling here for a vacation getaway. It REALLY defines a “getaway” because of it being so far away from the mainland US. Oahu, is the most visited of the islands mainly because it’s the main hub with Honolulu being there.
Full of beaches, rain forests, Pearl Harbor, museums, diverse set of people, tours, surf season, scuba diving, snorkeling, there’s plenty options for you to relax or run wild.. But let’s point out a few here.. .
Hikes with Scenic Views
There are more than 10 different hikes that you can sign up for in Oahu which we’ll cover in a later article. But one of the more popular ones is Diamond Head, which has some of the longest land views you’ll see in the world.
There’s also something magnificent in seeing mountains by beaches or any body of water that gives it a very rich view.
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor, is a lagoon harbor and is mostly now a United States Navy deep water naval-base. It also is the headquarters of the US Pacific Fleet. This naval base was attacked by the Empire of Japan on December 7th, 1941, which the national memorial covers. There are different sites that the national memorial covers all relating to the attack that gave insight on that day. One of, if not, the most popular is the USS Arizona as shown in the photo above. I recommend everyone stop by and go to the National Memorial.
Luaus
An experience of culture rarely experienced, luaus are a special way to celebrate an event, not just a feast. You would eat a delicious meal, then sit back, relax, and enjoy hula dancing, music, and cultural displays which contain storytelling.
Hanauma Bay
It’s a world famous snorkeling spot and a nature preserve. There’s abundant fish and the waters here are very calm. There are other areas to snorkeling, but choose here first if I were you.. .
Ziplining!
Why not soar among the treetops and enjoy breathtaking views of Hawaii?! Ziplining will do JUST THAT for you! Fly past waterfalls on the Island of Hawaii and zoom over the canopies of Oahu. Just seems like a Thrillseekers dream!
